Daniel Thibault obtained a baccalaureat degree, specialized in industrial design, of the University of Montreal in 1995. He is president-founder of Skerpa Design Inc., an industrial design consulting firm established in Montreal, since 2004. Daniel has more than 19 years of experience, he has worked with both SME and multinational corporations, in order to achieve innovative product development design. His knowlledge was particularly acquired in the sectors of the sporting accessories and the shoe. He worked in close cooperation with reknown companies such as Sport Maska (CCM), Itech, Salomon (France), TSL Outdoor (France), Genfoot (Kamik) and Honeywell Safety Products (USA) to name few. He also possesses several titles of intellectual properties resulting from his collaborations to the creation and the development of innovative products.
He was invited as students’ tutor for final class projects and Moderator of discussion forum at the School of industrial Design of the University of Montreal. So that he could share his knowledge and his passion for the innovation by the industrial design. He has appeared in magazines and daily newspapers (in French only) :

Daniel is a member of the ADIQ (Québec Association of industrial designers) as certified industrial designer since 2004. Along with Skerpa Design, he offers his clients tax incentives from the Quebec Government for industrial design.
OUR RECENT SUCCESS
Recently, Skerpa Design won the first prize of the First NOVAE Ecoconception Contest for its optimized plastic watering can, in the business concept category. This contest organized by NOVAE and IDP (Institute of Products development) was presented by ALCOA in Montreal, Canada, last May 2011. This contest was such a great opportunity to demonstrate that ecological aspect as well R&D and Design should get more involved together as part of solution for a better world, whatever the size of businesses.
